Welcome to the beautiful and ancient Grade 2* listed Church that serves the village of Newton under Roseberry.
You will find St Oswald's Church along Church Lane on the opposite side of the road to Roseberry Topping. Parts of it date back to Norman times and it features a wonderful Norman archway across the Chancel dating from the 1100s. The chancel was rebuilt in 1827 and the Temple Moor tower added in 1901.
The Church is still very active today with regular services.
Sunday Services at 11am on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of each month follow this pattern.
1st & 5th Sundays Holy Communion with hymns with the traditional service
3rd Sunday A Service for All Ages suitable for children and adults
often featuring puppets, magic and storytelling
Saint Oswald's Church is becoming increasingly popular for Christenings and Weddings. If you are interested in either of these, please contact the Vicar, Revd Paul Peverell (details on Home Page).
