In addition to the regular Sunday Services, there are other special occasions at Saint Oswald's Church.
Christmas Carol Service
Usually on the Thursday before Christmas at 7.30pm we gather for our annual Christmas Carol Service. The Church choir from Great Ayton join us to sing carols as we hear the story of Jesus' birth. This is followed by mulled wine and mince pies, and the Church is full.
Christmas Eve We join for a service of Holy Communion with Carols at 10pm on Christmas Eve.
St Oswald's Day Service On the first Sunday of August we celebrate our Patron Saint, Oswald, King of Northumbria, with a lively service followed by a picnic in the Memorial Garden behind the Church.
Harvest Thanksgiving Usually on the first Friday of October, we celebrate the Harvest and are joined by many from the farming community. We follow the service with a Harvest supper where those attending bring along something to share.
Please church the Calendar nearer the time for correct times, or see Spire, our Church magazine.
